CID gives you real-time visibility into the health of your firm, your clients, and your team. Here are just a few of the insights you’ll gain:
Steve and Carol Ford have owned and operated their accounting firm for over 45 years. Chris Ford has worked alongside them for over 20 years. Like many firms, we originally managed our operations through numerous spreadsheets. Over time, this approach became increasingly unwieldy. Beyond the typical limitations of relying on spreadsheets to manage various aspects of an accounting practice, our team began modifying their individual copies of what were intended to be standardized documents. This led to a lack of consistency and growing issues when trying to consolidate data across the firm. What started as a single design evolved into multiple formats, reducing the overall value and reliability of the information—especially as we leaned on these tools for key management functions such as client fee reviews, monthly bookkeeping production, tax return tracking, and monitoring incoming client documents.
The system we developed - now known as CID - was initially created solely for internal use. Over a number of years, our managers, accountants, and bookkeepers used and refined it daily while doing the same work you do. As other firms learned about the system and expressed growing interest, we decided to invest in formal development and testing to make CID available more broadly to other PASBA firms. After years of real-world use and significant programming investment, offering it to other firms became the natural next step.
We believe you’ll be genuinely impressed by what CID offers. It places a wealth of vital information right at your fingertips—something every firm needs, but often finds just out of reach.
